…hear me RAWR.
Almost everything Gooby Silverstein & Partners does is good shit. This is no exception…while 3D projection has been around for a while now (and over used in my opinion), the idea to let users interact with the project and get benefits out of it is taking the idea a big step forward. I haven’t liked a Google TVC since the Chrome ones back in the day. But you can’t go wrong with The Muppets and you can’t go wrong with the music. I like it when you don’t need copy or headlines to get your point across. Simple is best.
Love or hate Apple, their TV ads are a perfect reflection of the brand. Simple, funny, easy to understand, and emotional. I like this recent iPhone 4S ad about SIRI better than the two previous ones. Maybe it’s that Christmas spirit. The “Go easy on the cookies” part was great, perfect copywriting. In traditional iPhone [...]
I throughly enjoy this TV spot by agency RKCR/Y&R. Definitely took heavy influence from Discovery’s “Boom de yada” spots but the idea to use Sir David Attenbourgh (narrator for the hit series “Planet Earth”) to read “What a Wonderful World” is a really great idea. Nice job!

It was the feeling of utter depression….the kind of feeling you get after you’ve raged uncontrollably against something or fought to your last breath for something…only to have lost. (It was a very similar feeling i had after i watched “The Inside Job“, another very [...]

I dig this spot by W+K New York. The sepia tone of the film gives it a rich almost vintage look, the idea of making a ramp out of the basketball court to illustrate the height and grace of his jump. I also like that unlike most of these commercials it’s not about the dunk, [...]
