Chevy Sonic: Claw Game

Almost everything Gooby Silverstein & Partners does is good shit.  This is no exception…while 3D projection has been around for a while now (and over used in my opinion), the idea to let users interact with the project and get benefits out of it is taking the idea a big step forward.  Obviously something like [...]

I haven’t liked a Google TVC since the Chrome ones back in the day.  But you can’t go wrong with The Muppets and you can’t go wrong with the music.  I like it when you don’t need copy or headlines to get your point across.  Simple is best.

Love or hate Apple, their TV ads are a perfect reflection of the brand.  Simple, funny, easy to understand, and emotional.  I like this recent iPhone 4S ad about SIRI better than the two previous ones.  Maybe it’s that Christmas spirit.  The “Go easy on the cookies” part was great, perfect copywriting.  In traditional iPhone [...]

I throughly enjoy this TV spot by agency RKCR/Y&R.  Definitely took heavy influence from Discovery’s “Boom de yada” spots but the idea to use Sir David Attenbourgh (narrator for the hit series “Planet Earth”) to read “What a Wonderful World” is a really great idea.  Nice job!

(It was a very similar feeling i had after i watched “The Inside Job“, another very [...]

This spot by DDB London is a bit risque for a clothing brand, but those Brits are always more daring than Americans.  The point is straightforward and i like that they used a variety of body types (aka “normal people”).  I’m a bit surprised they didn’t do a closer money shot of the girl at [...]

I dig this spot by W+K New York.  The sepia tone of the film gives it a rich almost vintage look, the idea of making a ramp out of the basketball court to illustrate the height and grace of his jump.  I also like that unlike most of these commercials it’s not about the dunk, [...]
